HVAC Installation & Replacement

Your heating and cooling system is one of the most essential parts of your home especially in hot Florida climates like Ocala, The Villages, and Crystal River, where temperatures often stay above 80° or even 90° for much of the year. Without a properly functioning air conditioner, your home can quickly become unbearable.

If your AC unit is over 10–15 years old, frequently breaking down, or no longer under warranty, it may be time to consider a full HVAC replacement. That means removing your outdated system and installing a brand-new, energy-efficient air conditioning and heating system tailored to your home’s needs.

At Aire Masters, we do things differently. Unlike some HVAC companies in Marion, Citrus, or Sumter Counties who simply swap out your old unit with a similar one, we take a comprehensive approach. We assess your home’s ductwork, airflow needs, and system sizing to ensure your new HVAC system is correctly matched to your space and provides optimal comfort and efficiency.

We pride ourselves on being your trusted local HVAC experts. We’ll give you a thorough evaluation of your current system, explain your options clearly, and recommend the best solution based on your budget, comfort goals, and home layout.

Ready to upgrade your comfort? We offer free AC replacement estimates for both new and existing customers. Contact us today to schedule your no-obligation HVAC installation consultation in Ocala, FL or surrounding areas.

Types of Air Conditioning and Heating Systems We Install

Homes across Central Florida are equipped with a variety of HVAC systems. At Aire Masters, we have the experience and expertise to install or replace virtually any type of air conditioning and heating system found in the region. Whether you’re upgrading an older unit or installing a system in a new home, we’ve got you covered.

Here are the most common HVAC systems we install and replace throughout Central Florida:

Heat Pump Split Systems

The most common type of Air Conditioning System found in Central Florida is the Heat Pump Split System. Heat Pump Split Systems are made up of an outdoor Heat Pump Condenser and an indoor Air Handler. Pictured here is the Trane XV20 Variable Speed Heat Pump Split System with the Tam9 Hyperion Air Handler. It can be paired with high-efficiency Filtration Systems like the Trane Clean Effects Air Purification System.

Air Conditioning Split Systems

More common in Southern Florida, but still prevalent in many rental homes is the Air Conditioning Split System. Air Conditioning Split Systems are made up of an outdoor air conditioner and and indoor air handler. Because we do experience colder weather in Central Florida, we often upgrade these systems to heat pump systems. This is especially true since there are energy company rebates and sometimes even tax incentives to do so. Pictured here is the Trane XR14 air conditioner with a Tem6 Variable Speed Air Handler.

Air Conditioning Split Systems With Gas Furnaces

Another incredibly popular HVAC system found in the areas we service is the Air Conditioning Split System featuring a gas furnace. The Gas/AC split system is incredibly popular in The Villages, and it’s also used in much of Downtown Ocala, and luxury neighborhoods in Ocala. These systems offer more effective and cheaper heating performance. These systems are comprised of an outdoor air conditioner, a gas furnace, and an evaporator coil. Pictured Here is the Trane XV20 Variable Speed Air Conditioner paired with an 80%, Variable Speed TUD Furnace.

Package Air Conditioning Systems

Central Florida, particularly Ocala, Summerfield, and The Villages have an abundance of Mobile and Modular Homes. These houses are most frequently equipped with Package Air Conditioners or Package Heat Pump Systems. We even see some areas with Package Gas/AC systems. Pictured here is Trane’s XL15 2-Stage Package Heat Pump System.

Ductless Mini Split Systems

Traditionally used to cool additions or lanais, the ductless mini split air conditioning system is extremely popular in Central Florida. We install mini split air conditioner and heat pump split systems in Ocala, The Villages, and nearby areas every day. While they are most commonly used in lanais, these have also been an excellent option for additions, for apartments in barns, and mobile homes. These systems are also available as multi-zone systems. In multi-zone ductless AC split systems, you can have up to five individual heads or even a ducted air handler used to cool an entire home. Pictured here is a ductless high-wall Mitsubishi/Trane unit that we frequently install in bedrooms or lanais.

While these are the most common HVAC systems we encounter, we still offer solutions for other types of systems as well. Other HVAC systems include water-to-air heat pump systems, or self-contained systems.

What Makes Our AC Installations Better

No Shortcuts. No Piece-Rate Installs. Just Quality.

Some companies rush through two or more residential installs in a day—cutting corners to maximize profits. At Aire Masters, we assign only one installation per crew per day, and we take the time to do it right. Our techs are paid hourly (not per job), so there's no incentive to rush or skip steps.

We follow manufacturer specs, local codes, and our own high standards—every time. If ductwork needs to be updated or corrected, we bring in extra help or take the time needed to complete the job properly.

Your AC System Will Look as Good as It Performs

We know that even if you don’t understand every technical detail of your HVAC system, you’ll notice sloppy work. That’s why we pay close attention to both performance and appearance. A clean, professional installation shows pride in our work and gives you a system you’ll be proud to show off.

  • Professionally mounted and sealed air handlers
  • Tubing-bent copper lines (not hand-bent)
  • Clean filter rack access
  • Sealed plenums and drain ports
  • Proper safety switch installation
  • Minimal brazing and no exposed gaps
  • Plywood stands with painted finishes in visible areas

We Stand Behind Every Installation

Choosing the right HVAC contractor is just as important as choosing the right equipment. Many contractors in Central Florida don’t last more than a few years, leaving customers without support when something goes wrong.

Aire Masters has been serving Ocala and surrounding areas for nearly two decades, with a track record of growth and customer satisfaction. We’re here to stay—and we’re committed to supporting you long after your installation is complete.

If there’s ever an issue, you can count on us to resolve it quickly. Our reputation is built on doing what’s right, every time.

Air Conditioning Installation & Replacement FAQs

What is a SEER Rating on Air Conditioning Systems?

The SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating measures an AC system’s cooling efficiency. A higher SEER rating means greater energy savings and lower utility bills. With rising electricity costs, it’s wise to invest in the highest SEER rating you can if you plan to stay in your home long term.

How much does a new air conditioner cost?

Costs vary by system type. Central split systems range from $6,000–$10,000. High-efficiency systems with variable speed compressors range from $10,000–$20,000. More important than cost is choosing a reputable contractor and reliable brand.

What size air conditioner do I need?

Sizing depends on your home’s square footage, insulation, windows, orientation, and more. The best way to determine the right size is with a professional HVAC load calculation.

How long do AC and heating systems last?

In Central Florida, most systems last 10–15 years. With excellent maintenance, some units last up to 20 years. Usage and environment play major roles in longevity.

When should I replace my AC or heating system?

Plan for replacement after 10 years, when the warranty expires, or if frequent repairs and rising utility bills become an issue. Don’t wait for a breakdown in the middle of a heatwave.

Why replace your old HVAC system?

  • Energy Efficiency: New systems offer lower electric bills thanks to higher SEER and HSPF2 ratings.
  • Better Performance: Enjoy quieter operation, better dehumidification, and improved comfort with modern variable speed and two-stage systems.
  • Greater Reliability: Avoid inconvenient breakdowns. Replacing before failure ensures comfort and peace of mind.
  • Rebates Available: Utility providers like Duke Energy, Teco Gas, and the cities of Ocala and Leesburg offer rebates for system upgrades.

Most standard systems cost between $6,000 and $10,000. High-efficiency two-stage or variable-speed systems range from $10,000 to $20,000. Installation quality and system brand should matter more than just price.
